Thanks to Cathy and my overall experience at the ALA annual event, I am now more empowered than ever to travel the country with an enthusiasm-driven focus on bringing From My Mama’ s Kitchen ® Genius Zone Educational Platform Community Enrichment Programs nationwide.
It is during moments like this that I am reminded of the timeless recipe for living, my Texan Earthly Mom, Dee Jones, taught me years ago. She said,“ What we did Yesterday is not as Important as what we are going to do Today, because what we do Today will Define Who We are Tomorrow!”
Respectfully, individuals like us( Burke, Cathy, and I) are just ordinary people doing extraordinary things to build a better world for others to benefit from and follow! Believe it or not, you also possess the essence to do great things, first for yourself, then for your loved ones, and the ripple effect will permeate into your community, as well.
Although we are only six months into the year, I am incredibly grateful for the blessings I have received thus far. From being showcased by Mirror Review Business Magazine in May as one of the Exceptional 10 Leadership Coaches of 2025, to being a Finalist for the International Impact Author of the Year 2025 Award, in the category of Non-Fiction- Self-Help for Relationship & Communication hosted by The International Impact Book Awards this October in Los Angeles, and all the excellent connections I made in Philadelphia!
Speaking about Philly, there were also many wonderful conversation moments resulting in plenty of smiles and laughter, as I visited with the various exhibitors in the exhibition hall during my four-day stay. These heartfelt exchanges added a nice touch of meaningful fun time to the trip!
