Spring Magic- Refining Our Organized Chaos! by JOHNNY TAN x

Happy April, Everyone! The start of daylight saving time in the U. S. and the Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere always trigger the“ mindfulness switch” in me. Referring to the season as the annual“ Spring Magic,” I use it as an opportunity to review my yearly“ Organized Chaos to-do list.” Yes, you read that right— no typo here— to reflect on and celebrate my firstquarter accomplishments, while refining and adjusting my plan for the rest of the year!
By the way, the term“ Organized Chaos” isn’ t really chaos; it ' s a complex plan that appears chaotic, messy, and hectic. Still, it’ s an organized system of activity that encourages effective, often unconventional, yet highly successful results tailored to each person’ s personality. Come to think of it, some of you might be smiling right now- finally, someone gets me!
In a nutshell, it’ s about how we position ourselves to reach our goals instead of waiting passively. Life responds to who we are through our consistent actions and mindset, not just our desires! When we take proactive steps to create opportunities instead of expecting them to come to us, we continually adjust our to-do list to fit the constantly changing environment.
One of the most important life lessons I learned from my 9 Moms in nourishing my heart, mind, body, and spirit, is to remind myself:“ We are not the product of our environment, but rather our environment is the product of who we are!”
