Happy September, everyone! I have always considered this month my“ Personal January,” since it is the first month after my August birthday celebration. Needless to say, I am energized and excited about my newly refined, heart-centered, and passion-driven projects on my to-do list for the next 12 months.
Since my college years, I have cherished the fall season as the perfect time to reinvent the“ New Me.” Before my birthday, during the two-week break between semesters, I take time for selfreflection and introspection to prepare and reset for the exciting months ahead. I look forward to using the rest of the year as a strong foundation for what I envision my life will be in the coming new year!
Thanks to my various moms’ recipes for living, I have learned how to navigate my life’ s journey quite effectively over the years. While guiding me toward fulfilling my life ' s purpose, they serve as great reminders of my hard work and determination. They also motivate me to stay strong and positive while making essential changes in my life.
Since we are in the perfect season for reflection and resetting, I would like to share these recipes for living with you. I hope they help you see the past as a classroom for lessons learned, and also unveil that the rear-view vision always reveals exciting new opportunities ahead.
Growing up, my Malaysian mom, Nyah, always reminded me,“ Life and situations have a way of working themselves out eventually through a universal order. If we believe in faith and live our lives with full expectancy, then we can trust that all things will work out for our greatest good.”
Her heartfelt advice has helped me overcome fear, frustration, and uncertainty. I have learned to accept gracefully that sometimes things may not go as planned, especially after I have given
